No I grabbed one of my raceface ones that never went on just to make shure, still has all the original markings on it,right hand tightens counter clockwise as your looking at it, or towards the rear, left side clockwise as your looking , also to the rear

dont the euro cups tighten to the front of the bike so when u pedal it keeps it tight?
